Monthly mySewnet Spotlight: What's New in Version 4.1

We’ve been busy improving the mySewnet App to bring you more features that make your sewing, quilting, and crafting even easier and more fun! Whether you’re using the app on your phone, tablet, or desktop, here’s a look at what’s new in version 4.1:

Sewing Assistant Now in the mySewnet App (Desktop)

We’ve added the Sewing Assistant feature to the mySewnet App for Windows desktop users, providing step-by-step guidance for your sewing projects. This update also includes support for the Singer HD500 Classic Black model.

Quilting Features

Improvements to quilting tools are now available within the same app:

• Object Selection & Zoom: Selecting and zooming in on quilting elements is smoother and more precise, giving you better control over your projects.

Crafting Features

We've also enhanced crafting functionality within the app:

• Resizing Objects: Resizing objects by dragging their corners is now more intuitive and accurate.
• Rearrange to Reduce Waste: The “Rearrange to Reduce Waste” option has been improved for better material efficiency on your crafting projects.
• Fill the Canvas Zero Spacing: You can now choose “0” spacing between objects when using the Fill the Canvas feature, and we’ve ensured that no extra cuts occur when this option is selected.
• Object Locking: You can now lock objects on the canvas to prevent accidental resizing.
• Add a Border Default: We’ve updated the default setting for adding borders to “Attached” instead of “Grouped” in most cases, providing a more consistent result.

Mac User Enhancements

We’ve also added new features for Mac users within the Crafting Space:

• Multiple Object Selection Shortcuts: You can now use keyboard shortcuts on your Mac to select multiple objects on the canvas, just like in the Windows version.
• Arrow Key Object Movement: Move objects easily using the arrow keys on the Craft Project screen, making it quicker to arrange your designs.
