- Stitch out color 2, this will stitch the outline again, securing the fabric into the hoop.
- Change to the color you want for the decorative stitching on the jeans. Stitch out color 3, the last color. This will do the decorative stitching.
- Unhoop and cut out on the stitched outline , hem and seam allowance is included.
- Repeat the process, but use the Jeans right side file instead.
- Now you have two embroidered jeans halves.
Sewing the jeans together.
- Start with the hem: The jeans are long so you can fold them up if you want to. If you want shorter legs, measure your dolls inseam and cut the at the wanted length, remember to add ½" seam allowance
- Fold the lower edge of the jeans, first ¼" (6mm) and then fold again. Stitch close to the edge of the hem. Use a triple stitch and the same thread you used for the decorative stitching on the jeans.
- Next step is to make the lining. Fold down just on top of the first row of stitching. Sew down with a straight stitch. This is best done from the outside with a clear monofilament thread or a thread that matches the denim.
- Put the two pieces on top of each other right sides facing.
- Sew together the front and back seam.
- Zig-zag the edges.
- Open up the pieces and lay them with the leg inner seam together.Sew together using a ¼" (6mm) seam allowance. Zig-zag the edges.
- Turn your jeans inside out.
- The project is now finished! Well done!
