Fabric Preparation:
- Fabric - x2 - 9”x14”
- Decor-Bond - x1 - 9”x14”
- Fuse the Decor-Bond to one of the fabric pieces.
Instructions:
- Place the Decor-Bond fused fabric right side down to the SINGER® Momento™ 12”x24” Fabric Grip Mat in the top left corner. *We want this right side down because of the sew lines being drawn by the Momento.
- Load the SINGER® Momento™ Heat Removable Fabric Pen and the SINGER® Momento™ Rotary Blade into the machine.
- Send the provided design from the Momento™ software to the SINGER® Momento™ Cutting Machine.
- Press start to begin marking the lines and cutting.
- Repeat steps 1-4 with the second 9”x14” fabric piece.
- Place the two cut pieces right side together. Clip or pin in place.
- Sew around the pieces using the Adjustable ¼” Foot with Guide, leaving a 3” opening on one of the bottom straight edges of the left or right fold over pockets.
- Clip corners and curves for a smooth finish once turned.
- Turn the card holder right side out.
- Press and press in the edge of the opening. *Don’t worry about sewing it closed, it’ll be sealed in when sewed together.
- Attach the Button Foot with Placement Tool. On the bottom smaller curve sew on the button ½” from the curve edge in the center.
- Measure your button using the ruler at the bottom of your machine. Select a buttonhole stitch from your machine and adjust the buttonhole length based on the button measured size.
- Attach the Sensor One-Step Buttonhole. On the top larger curve, stitch out the buttonhole ½” from the curve edge in the center. *If you have projection, turn it on to visualize where the buttonhole will be placed for accuracy.
- Fold over the taller side piece first, then the opposite shorter side and then the bottom shorter curved piece that the button was attached to. Clip or pin in place along the sides.
- Attach the A Foot. Sew from the bottom left corner up to the top flap, around the curve and back down to the bottom right corner using a ⅛” seam allowance.
- Fold over the top flap and securely close using the buttonhole and button!
Optional Personalization:
- Using the Momento™ software create a personalized monogram to cut out on heat transfer vinyl. Using the SINGER® Momento™ Mini Press, press it directly to the backside of the fold over card holder!
